#Events Created

Have custom events been setup in UA/GA3? If so enter the number of events currently being tracked that need to be migrated to GA4. To see the number of events you can check the GTM container and count the number of GA Event Tags. Alternatively open the top event report in UA/GA3 and count the number of unique event categories over the past 30 days to get a rough idea.

#Filters

Have filters been created in UA/GA3 to exclude certain traffic (e.g. internal traffic)? To check go into the Admin area of UA/GA3 and click Filters under the View menu.

#Referral Exclusions

Have referral exclusions been setup on the UA/GA3 property? To check view the Referral Exclusion List under Tracking Info of the Admin area in UA/GA3.

Cross-Domain Tracking

Does the client site operate across multiple url's using the same UA/GA3 tracking ID? (e.g. 3rd party payment or booking sites). If so you will need to enable cross-domain tracking. Please ensure you have access to the 3rd party site.

E-Commerce

Is the client site an e-commerce site and do you want to track transactions in GA4?

Is the site currently compliant with cookie consent laws?

You should only apply cookie based tracking upon receiving consent from your users. If you track users without consent you are potentially breaking privacy law.
